RECOVERY IS MORE
THAN ADDICTION.
Saved Life is a Christ-centered recovery and discipleship ministry built around one foundational truth:
We are all in recovery from the Fall.
Addiction may be one expression of brokenness, but it is not the only one. Pride, fear, anger, bitterness, lust, shame, selfishness, control, unforgiveness, and countless other struggles reveal the same deeper problem: sin has affected every part of human life.
Jesus Christ came not merely to help us manage broken behavior, but to redeem us and restore what sin has damaged.
The goal is transformation.
The soul includes our mind, will, and emotions. Saved Life is concerned with more than outward behavior. We want to see God transform the way people think, choose, respond, relate, forgive, endure, love, serve, and live.
Scripture describes this as being transformed into the image of Christ “from glory to glory” through the work of the Spirit.
— 2 Corinthians 3:18
A message. A pathway. A community. A mission.
Saved Life began with a simple desire to help people understand that recovery and discipleship belong together. Over time, that message has grown into books, Bible studies, the Transformation Journey, Saved Life Outposts, cohorts, prison and recovery ministry, and resources designed to help churches and individuals walk people toward spiritual maturity.
A Message
We are all affected by the Fall, and through Jesus Christ God is restoring His image in us.
A Pathway
Saved Life provides practical biblical tools that help people move from brokenness toward transformation, maturity, and purpose.
A Community
We believe people need relationships where they can be known, challenged, encouraged, prayed for, and held accountable.
A Mission
The person being helped today should eventually become someone capable of helping another person tomorrow.
Real people with real stories.
Saved Life is for people recovering from addiction, incarceration, failure, damaged relationships, shame, destructive patterns, and painful consequences.
But it is also for the church member dealing with pride, bitterness, fear, anger, unforgiveness, lust, selfishness, control, or any other area where the image of Christ still needs to be formed.
In that sense, Saved Life is not only for people who identify as being “in recovery.” It is for anyone who understands that following Jesus means continually allowing the Holy Spirit to transform us.
Transformation should become visible.
We believe spiritual growth should eventually show up in the way we live. The fruit of the Spirit should increasingly become visible in our character, relationships, choices, attitudes, and response to difficulty.
We want people to understand truth, practice it in daily life, experience transformation, live in genuine Christian community, discover their purpose, and eventually help someone else grow.
Transformation happens in community.
Saved Life was never intended to become merely content people consume alone. Books and studies can teach us, but relationships help us live what we are learning.
That is why Saved Life encourages people to gather in Outposts, walk through the Transformation Journey together, practice accountability, pray for one another, serve together, and develop relationships where honest spiritual growth can take place.
EACH ONE TEACH ONE.
Saved Life is not complete when someone simply receives help. Transformation should eventually produce mission.
Somebody reached us. Somebody taught us. Somebody prayed for us. Somebody walked with us. As we grow, we become that person for someone else.
Our goal is to see people restored, equipped, and sent back into their families, neighborhoods, churches, workplaces, correctional facilities, recovery communities, and everyday relationships carrying the hope of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the center, not the ministry.
Saved Life is not a replacement for the local church. It is not a twelve-step program with Christian language added to it. It is not self-help dressed up as discipleship. And it is not built around one personality.
Everything we teach must ultimately lead people back to Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, the work of the Holy Spirit, genuine Christian community, and participation in the mission of God.
GRACE APPROVED.
Saved Life was shaped in real places of brokenness, failure, consequences, recovery, rebuilding, discipleship, and grace.
We have seen what brokenness can do. We have also seen what the grace of God can restore.
And we believe Jesus is still transforming lives.
