WHAT WE BELIEVE
Saved Life is unapologetically centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in the authority of Scripture.
Our theology shapes everything we do—recovery, discipleship, community, ministry, mission, and the way we understand transformation.
We do not believe people simply need better habits, stronger willpower, or improved circumstances. We believe humanity needs redemption, restoration, and the transforming work of God.
Everything begins with God and His Word.
Saved Life is not built around recovery theory, personal experience, psychology, church tradition, or cultural trends. Those things may sometimes help us understand people, but Scripture remains our final authority for truth, faith, and life.
We believe the Bible is the Word of God.
We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God, trustworthy, authoritative, and sufficient to reveal who God is, who we are, what Christ has accomplished, and how His people are called to live.
Scripture is not merely information to be studied. It is truth to be believed, obeyed, practiced, and allowed to examine us.
We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—distinct in Person, perfectly one in nature, glory, purpose, and deity.
The Father is the divine Architect of redemption, the Son is our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit is the One who applies the work of Christ and transforms believers into His image.
We believe humanity was created in the image of God.
Human beings were created intentionally by God and made in His image. We were created for relationship with Him, relationship with one another, stewardship, worship, purpose, and obedience.
Our identity begins not with our failures, addictions, wounds, accomplishments, or labels, but with the God who created us.
We believe sin has affected every part of human life.
Through humanity's rebellion against God, sin entered the world. The Fall brought separation, death, shame, fear, disorder, broken relationships, distorted desires, and corruption into human experience.
This is why Saved Life says: we are all in recovery from the Fall. Addiction is one expression of brokenness, but it is not the only one.
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, and Redeemer.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return.
Our hope is not found in self-improvement. It is found in Jesus. His death and resurrection provide forgiveness, reconciliation, new life, freedom, and the foundation for true restoration.
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
No one can earn salvation through good behavior, religious activity, recovery success, moral improvement, or personal effort. Salvation is the gift of God received through faith in Jesus Christ.
Scripture also presents salvation as a work with past, present, and future dimensions. We have been saved from the penalty of sin, we are being transformed and delivered from the power of sin, and we look forward to the day when God's redemptive work will be brought to completion.
We Have Been Saved
Through Christ we are justified, forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life.
We Are Being Saved
God continues His work in us as the Holy Spirit transforms our lives toward Christlikeness.
We Will Be Saved
We look forward to the completion of God's redemptive work when Christ returns.
We believe transformation is the work of the Holy Spirit.
The Christian life cannot be lived successfully through human determination alone. The Holy Spirit indwells believers, convicts of sin, teaches truth, empowers obedience, produces spiritual fruit, gives gifts for ministry, and transforms us into the image of Christ.
Saved Life is therefore not a program of self-repair. Transformation is supernatural before it is behavioral.
We believe the goal of discipleship is Christlikeness.
Christianity is more than making a decision, attending church, learning information, or stopping destructive behavior. Jesus calls us to follow Him.
Through surrender, Scripture, prayer, obedience, conviction, confession, community, discipline, trials, and the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are progressively transformed.
We believe biblical recovery is restoration toward Christlikeness.
Saved Life defines recovery as the ongoing salvation of the soul whereby God restores the image of Christ in a believer through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Recovery therefore reaches deeper than sobriety, behavior modification, or escaping consequences. It involves the transformation of the mind, will, emotions, desires, relationships, character, and way of life.
We believe followers of Jesus are meant to live in Christian community.
Christianity was never designed to be lived in isolation. Believers need teaching, fellowship, prayer, worship, accountability, encouragement, correction, service, communion, and relationships with other followers of Christ.
Saved Life exists to support and strengthen biblical discipleship, not to replace the local church.
We believe every disciple is called to participate in the mission.
Ministry is not reserved for professional clergy. Every follower of Jesus has been called to bear witness to Christ, love others, serve, use their gifts, and participate in making disciples.
The person being helped today should eventually become someone capable of helping another person tomorrow.
We believe Jesus Christ is coming again.
History is moving toward the return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, God's final judgment, the ultimate defeat of sin and death, and the fulfillment of God's redemptive plan.
This hope gives urgency to our mission and reminds us that the work God has begun in His people is moving toward a final restoration.
We believe the Gospel calls us exactly as we are—and calls us forward.
Saved Life seeks to hold grace and truth together. We do not believe a person's past disqualifies them from the grace of God. We also do not believe grace means pretending sin and destructive behavior do not matter.
Jesus receives broken people, forgives sinners, restores failures, confronts what destroys us, and calls His followers into a new way of living.
Truth shows us where we need to change.
The Holy Spirit empowers the transformation.
AND HIM CRUCIFIED.
Saved Life may speak about recovery, discipleship, transformation, community, purpose, and mission—but none of those things are the center.
Jesus is.
He is the One who saves. He is the One who restores. He is the One we follow. And He is the image into which the Holy Spirit is transforming us.

Our confidence is not in a program, curriculum, personality, or recovery method.
Our confidence is in Jesus Christ, the truth of His Word, and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
