Where the Community Is Revived

“Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.” — Psalm 80:18 (NKJV)

The Faith-Based Overdose Elimination Task Force is a countywide movement uniting churches, ministries, first responders, and local agencies to confront the overdose crisis in Escambia County

  • PRAYER: Spiritual warfare through united intercession for deliverance, healing, and revival.

  • PREVENTION: Community education, awareness, and training to guard against overdose.

  • INTERVENTION: Rapid response teams equipped to bring rescue in the midst of crisis.

  • RESTORATION: Faith-based recovery, discipleship, and long-term life transformation.

Our goal is simple — to see lives saved, families restored, and Escambia County revived through a unified, Christ-centered response to addiction and overdose.

Why It Matters

Escambia County has one of the highest overdose rates in Florida. Behind every statistic is a son, daughter, father, or mother — a soul Jesus died for. While government programs provide treatment and prevention, the Church carries the one resource no system can replace — the presence and power of God.

The Task Force exists to bridge the gap between the faith community and the public response, building a network that works together for one goal: eliminating overdose deaths through recovery, relationship, and revival.

What We’re Building

We’re developing a coordinated network of faith-based and community partners to:

  • 🔹 Provide faith-based overdose response training for churches and ministries.

  • 🔹 Partner with local agencies for referral and prevention services.

  • 🔹 Organize countywide prayer gatherings and vigils for those affected by addiction.

  • 🔹 Mobilize church-based outreach teams to support recovery homes, shelters, and jails.

  • 🔹 Establish a central resource database connecting the public to help and hope.

This isn’t just a task force — it’s a revival alliance. It’s the Church rising to take her rightful place at the frontlines of healing and hope.

Our Mission

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives…”

— Luke 4:18

Our mission is to bring the Gospel and the Church into every layer of the community response to addiction — not just through words, but through action, compassion, and collaboration. We believe revival will come when the Church steps outside its walls and serves the broken where they are.
