Some people come to recovery because their brokenness has a name attached to it: alcohol, drugs, pornography, anger, incarceration, destructive relationships, relapse or another life-controlling pattern.
Others may carry shame, fear, bitterness, grief, pride, control, church hurt or simply the exhaustion of trying to live life independently from God.
The visible struggles may be different, but Saved Life begins with something deeper: humanity has been affected by the Fall, and every one of us needs the restoring work of Jesus Christ.
Recovery Is More Than Addiction
People walk through the doors of Saved Life carrying all kinds of stories. You don't need a particular label to belong.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to struggle with drugs or alcohol to attend?
No. Saved Life Recovery is built around the conviction that recovery is bigger than addiction. Addiction is one expression of human brokenness, but every person has been affected by the Fall and needs the transforming work of Jesus Christ.
Do I need to register before attending a meeting?
In most Saved Life meetings, no. Find a meeting, check the local meeting information and come. Some host facilities - such as correctional institutions or treatment centers - may have their own entry requirements.
Does it cost anything to attend?
Saved Life Recovery meetings are intended to remain accessible. You should not be prevented from attending because you cannot afford a book, workbook or other resource. Individual host locations may provide additional information about materials.
What if the meeting is already halfway through The Path Back?
Come anyway. Saved Life meetings are designed to remain open. You join the group wherever it currently is in the teaching cycle. Belonging begins on the first night; understanding grows over time.
Do I have to share personal details?
No one should be forced into disclosure. Saved Life encourages honesty and healthy community while also respecting appropriate personal boundaries. Participants are encouraged to grow into deeper relationships and accountability over time.
Is Saved Life counseling or professional treatment?
No. Saved Life Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery and discipleship ministry. It does not replace medical care, professional counseling, psychiatric care, detoxification, emergency services or other appropriate professional treatment.
