Frequently Asked Questions
Saved Life is built around a simple biblical conviction: recovery is bigger than addiction, transformation is possible through Jesus Christ, and none of us were meant to walk alone. Here are answers to some of the most common questions.
What is Saved Life?
Saved Life is a Christ-centered recovery and discipleship ministry built around the truth that we are all in recovery from the Fall. Sin has affected every part of human life, and through Jesus Christ God is restoring what sin has broken.
Our goal is not simply behavior change. It is transformation into the image of Christ through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.
Is Saved Life only for people struggling with addiction?
No. Addiction is one expression of human brokenness, but it is not the only one.
Pride, anger, fear, bitterness, shame, lust, selfishness, control, unforgiveness, destructive relationships, and many other struggles reveal our need for God's transforming grace.
Recovery is for all of us because the Fall affected all of us.
What is The Path Back?
The Path Back is the Saved Life transformation journey. It walks participants through biblical recovery, discipleship, spiritual formation, and practical application.
It begins with the bigger biblical story of Creation, the Fall, Redemption, and Restoration and continues into areas such as brokenness, confession, forgiveness, obedience, prayer, relationships, spiritual growth, and Christlike transformation.
How much does it cost?
The Saved Life Member Site and The Path Back are free to access.
We do not want finances to become a barrier between someone and resources that can help them grow in Christ. Simply create a free account to continue the journey.
Why do I need to create an account if the material is free?
Creating a free account allows us to provide the material in one organized place, continue adding new resources, and stay connected with the people who are walking the Saved Life journey.
It also gives you ongoing access to The Path Back, Bible studies, research projects, downloadable resources, and new material as it becomes available.
What do I receive as a Saved Life member?
Your free membership gives you access to a growing library including:
The complete Path Back transformation journey, in-depth Bible studies, research projects, downloadable discipleship resources, teaching materials, Outpost resources, and new studies as they are developed.
It is designed to become a place where you can continue learning, growing, and belonging.
What is a Saved Life Outpost?
An Outpost is a local gathering of people walking the Saved Life journey together.
Outposts are built around Scripture, honest conversation, discipleship, prayer, accountability, encouragement, and genuine Christian community.
They can meet in churches, homes, recovery settings, community spaces, or anywhere people can gather consistently and walk together.
Can I start a Saved Life Outpost?
Yes. Saved Life is designed to multiply through ordinary believers who are willing to walk with others.
You do not have to be a professional counselor or Bible scholar. You should be committed to Jesus Christ, willing to grow yourself, willing to serve others, and willing to faithfully use the Saved Life material.
Our heart is simple: Each one reach one. Each one teach one.
Can churches use Saved Life?
Absolutely. Saved Life can be used as a discipleship, recovery, small-group, reentry, outreach, or community-care resource within the local church.
Churches can establish one or more Saved Life Outposts and use The Path Back to help people move beyond crisis management toward ongoing spiritual transformation and maturity in Christ.
Does Saved Life replace the local church?
No. Saved Life is not intended to pull people away from biblical Christian community.
We believe discipleship happens best when believers are connected, known, challenged, encouraged, prayed for, and given opportunities to serve and grow alongside other followers of Jesus.
Does Saved Life replace counseling, treatment, or medical care?
No. Saved Life is a Christian discipleship and recovery ministry, not a substitute for professional medical treatment, mental-health care, detoxification, clinical addiction treatment, or licensed counseling when those services are needed.
We encourage people to seek appropriate professional help when necessary while continuing to pursue spiritual growth, Christian community, and discipleship.
Where should I begin?
Start with the book. Then take The First Step and begin walking The Path Back.
From there, create your free account, continue through the journey, connect with others, and consider becoming someone who helps another person walk the same road.
Don't just read it. Live it.
