If you serve in a jail or prison, minister to people in correctional facilities, work in a treatment center, lead a recovery residence, serve in re-entry ministry, or regularly work with people who may not be able to purchase a book for themselves, you may request a free case of Saved Life: Recovering the Image of Christ.

These books are meant to be given away.

The Saved Life Book Drive exists to place Christ-centered recovery and discipleship material directly into the hands of people who need it but may not have the means or opportunity to purchase it. If you already have access to the people we are trying to reach, we want to consider partnering with you.

Who Can Request a Case?

Designed for Active Ministry and Care Settings.

Requests are intended for people and organizations who will personally place the books into the hands of people being served.

Prison & Jail Ministry Chaplains, volunteers, ministry teams, and approved organizations serving incarcerated men and women.

Treatment Centers Staff, counselors, chaplains, peer-support personnel, and ministry partners serving people in treatment.

Recovery Homes Recovery residences, sober-living programs, transitional homes, and Christ-centered recovery ministries.

Re-entry & Outreach Ministries Ministries helping people transition from incarceration, treatment, homelessness, addiction, or other difficult circumstances.

Churches Churches with active jail, prison, recovery, re-entry, outreach, or community-care ministries.

Other Front-Line Ministries Other legitimate ministries serving populations who may have limited access to Christian discipleship resources.
Basic Requirements What We Ask of Book Drive Partners

Be actively serving people. You should currently serve through a jail, prison, treatment center, recovery program, church, re-entry ministry, or comparable outreach setting.

Provide verifiable ministry information. We may ask for the name of your organization or facility, your role, ministry location, contact information, website, supervisor, chaplain, or another way to verify the ministry.

Give the books away at no charge. Books supplied through the Saved Life Book Drive are provided for free distribution to the people you serve. They are not to be resold.
✓
Use the books for actual ministry. Books should be distributed directly to participants, residents, inmates, clients, or others being served — not stored indefinitely or requested simply to build an inventory.

Follow facility rules. The requesting ministry is responsible for confirming that the receiving jail, prison, treatment program, or other institution permits the books and for following its applicable procedures.

Tell us how the books will be used. Give us a brief explanation of who will receive them, where they will be distributed, and how the books fit into your ministry.

Help us steward donated books responsibly. Because these books are funded through the generosity of others, additional case requests may require confirmation that previous books were distributed as intended.
What This Program Is Not

Free Cases Are Reserved for Ministry Distribution.

We want to be generous, but we also want every donated book to reach someone who needs it.

  • Books may not be resold.
  • Free cases are not intended for personal libraries or private collections.
  • They are not intended for commercial giveaways or promotional resale.
  • Requests may not be fulfilled simply for stockpiling books for possible future use.
  • Submission of a request does not automatically guarantee approval.

What We Will Ask You.

Keep the request simple. We mainly need enough information to verify the ministry and understand where the books are going.

Your Information Name, email, phone number, and role.
Organization Ministry, church, facility, program, or organization name.
Ministry Setting Prison, jail, treatment, recovery home, re-entry, church, or other.
Location City, state, and receiving facility or ministry location.
Who Will Receive Them? Tell us briefly about the people you serve.
How Will They Be Used? Individual distribution, discipleship, recovery ministry, study, re-entry, or outreach.
Verification Website, ministry contact, supervisor, chaplain, or other verification when applicable.
Facility Approval Confirmation that you can receive or distribute books at the intended location.

The books distributed through this program are made possible through Book Drive sponsors and ministry supporters. We want to fulfill as many legitimate requests as possible, but availability may vary.

  • Requests are reviewed individually.
  • Priority may be given to ministries serving people with limited access to books and discipleship resources.
  • Quantity may depend on current Book Drive inventory and available funding.
  • Saved Life may contact you for additional information before approving a request.
  • Repeat requests may be reviewed based on demonstrated distribution and continuing ministry need.
